Rebuilt from a 52-metre (171ft) steel-hulled merchant vessel, MV Solitude One has undergone a complete makeover from her original form to set new standards in hospitality and professionalism. With our clients in mind, the vessel was purpose-built to incorporate smart design, functionality and comforts close to home without going over the top. Every guest on board will be cared for by well-trained staff who address their guests by name, can anticipate individual needs, and appear only when needed, allowing them the privacy and exclusivity of a “home away from home.”
CABINS
MV Solitude One has a total of 10 cabins that can accommodate a maximum capacity of 22 guests. Paying close attention to detail, the cabins were conceptualised from experience, common sense, feedback from guests, incorporating essential elements from the hospitality world and being very aware of what discerning divers need and want, and then designing them with taste and practicality.
DIVING
Palau and the Philippines both offer some of the best diving in the world.
Palau is iconic for its WW2 wrecks, clear turquoise water, Jellyfish Lake, and being the world’s first Shark Sanctuary. With its numerous cleaning stations and spawning itineraries, its worth the trip to this far away paradise.
The Philippines is highly regarded as one of the best countries in the world for both travel and diving due to the sheer amount of biodiversity that can be found. From the Whale Sharks of Tubbataha, the Thresher Sharks of Malapascua, to the incredibly rare Melibe colemani of Romblon – There’s something for all levels of divers.
COMFORT AT SEA
With the size of Solitude One, there are plenty of spaces onboard to find your own tranquil ‘solitude.’ Whether is be unwinding up on our large sun-deck, staying cool at our bow-side jacuzzi, in our open air dining area or at the stern where the dive deck is situated.
Alternatively, we have our indoor, air-conditioned saloon with a 55″ TV stocked with a plethora or movies and series. Inside of the saloon we have two large drinks fridges, one stocked with complimentary soft drinks, and the other with alcoholic beverages for after all water activities for that day; additionally, we have our coffee machine and hot & cold water dispenser. Or make some adjustments to you camera rig or catch up on some editing in our camera room attached to the saloon.
DINING EXPERIENCE
One of the most important aspects of holiday… Food. We do our utmost ensure you never go hungry while onboard with 5 meals per day: Light breakfast, big breakfast, lunch, afternoon cooked snacks and dinner. Not to mention the biscuits and instant noodles available at all times complimentary. Major meals are typically served in a buffet style with under-tray heating so you don’t need to worry about the food going cold. We provide you with multiple options so you can pick and choose what appeals to you most.
SAFETY
From the very beginning, safety has always been the most important aspect of Solitude and at the forefront of all decision making. Given the remote areas we operate in, it is vital to us that our crew are well trained and we are equipped to handle any scenario should it occur.
