** Route Itinerary subject to change due to inclement weather, sea conditions, and/or restrictions posed by local authorities.
The voyage will begin in Anilao, where we will embark Solitude One by 5 pm at the latest (depending on flight arrival times). Once everyone is on board, we will carry out our welcome briefing and induction to the vessel. We will serve dinner later, before beginning our overnight cruise to Romblon.
We will spend our first diving day at Verde Island, in particular, ‘San Agapito’, the centre of biodiversity in the Philippines. This site offers a sheer abundance of life with pristine corals shrouded by dense shoals of fish, a remarkable dive spot. In between the giant trevallies hunting, the strong currents this sight is known for on occasion bring in passing pelagics.
Next, we will spend one day diving in the macro haven of Romblon diving around an array of sites there, such as ‘Ghost Valley’ and ‘Broken House’ where we look for the famous Melibe sp. And Cyerce sp. nudibranchs. While here we will also conduct either Blackwater or Bonfire dives depending on conditions.
After Romblon, we will head over to the islands North of Ticao and dive a couple of the stunning reef walls, which are packed with a variety of nudibranchs and crustaceans.
Following, we will move to the East of Ticao and dive ‘Manta Bowl’ where we hope to see Manta Rays and potentially Whale Sharks. According to LAMAVE, 250 of the 400 individual Mantas spotted in the Philippines have been recorded at this dive site.
Our last destination in Ticao will be in the South, where we will dive around the lush mangroves and ‘Snake Island’ which is teeming with a variety of life due to the nutrient-rich waters.
The next location is Malapascua, one of the few places where Thresher Sharks are regularly seen – being on a liveaboard we can be there before any of the land based centres!
Besides the Threshers there is plenty of great dive spots around such as Gato Island and Kalanggaman and its picturesque sandbar.
Our final diving destination, Southern Leyte. Home to stunning reef that are reminiscent of Tubbataha and fantastic black sand macro; one of the hidden gems in the Philippines!
Once our diving is done, we will cruise to Surigao and carry out our thank you and farewell briefing. Lastly, disembarkation will begin the morning of the 13th day between 8 am, and 11 am.
