Full itinerary

Review the detailed daily itinerary of our thrilling 7-day diving journey in Komodo.

Day 1 Labuan Bajo – Embarkation

Upon boarding Solitude Adventurer, a welcome from the rest of our crew awaits you. Orientation including A safety briefing followed by lunch. There may even be a possibility for a check dive.

Day 2 Komodo National Park – Southern Region

Gives the opportunity of a possible 3- 4 dives.

As the sun rises, we find ourselves in the northern region of Komodo National Park, eagerly anticipating the day’s diving activities. Our schedule includes two dives in the northern part of the park and another two in the southern area. The northern region of Komodo National Park is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, maintaining a pleasant temperature ranging between 25°C to 27°C. This ideal environment allows corals to flourish, benefiting from the vigorous currents that flow through the channel connecting the Flores Sea and the Indian Ocean. Scattered throughout the channel, you’ll discover small islands and picturesque white sandy beaches, creating a scenic backdrop with the dramatic presence of Komodo National Park to the west and Flores to the east, heightening the thrill of our adventure.

In the north, a variety of dive experiences awaits. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in exhilarating drift dives, explore sandy bottom macro sites, encounter majestic pinnacles, and perhaps even catch a glimpse of the occasional graceful Manta ray. As we venture further south, nearing the Indian Ocean, the water temperature gradually cools to approximately 18°C to 25°C. The drop in temperature fosters a thriving breeding ground for plankton, resulting in the water taking on a greener hue and becoming densely populated with marine life. Although visibility may decrease, this presents a unique opportunity for divers to focus their attention on the intricate details of the reef itself, rather than wide-angle landscapes. Prepare to be captivated by a plethora of intriguing macro marine species.

As the day progresses, we indulge in an afternoon dive and night dive in the enchanting areas surrounding Pink Beach, immersing ourselves in the vibrant underwater world that comes alive in these waters.

Day 3 Komodo National Park – Southern Region

Gives the opportunity of a possible 3 dives and land exploration.

Early in the morning, with seas conditions allowing in the southern end of the park, we will sail to Manta Alley and onto Horseshoe Bay, where there is a possibility to have amazing encounters with Manta rays. We spend the day in the south of the channel with both pelagic and macro marine life. Throughout the day, we will immerse ourselves in the wonders of the southern channel, exploring the diverse marine life that encompasses both pelagic species and captivating macro creatures.

In the afternoon, we will navigate towards Padar Island, where guests will have the chance to embark on a rewarding hike to a viewpoint. From this elevated vantage point, a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding islands unfolds, providing a truly unforgettable sight. As the day draws to a close, we will embark on an overnight voyage, sailing towards the northern region of Komodo Park, ready for the next chapter of our adventure.

Day 4 & 5 Komodo National Park – Northern Region

Gives the opportunity of a possible 3 to 4 dives each day.

Our itinerary includes two full days dedicated to exploring the captivating northern region, specifically the dive sites surrounding Gili Lawa Darat and Gili Lawa Laut. This area is renowned for hosting many of the famous dive sites within Komodo. Prepare to be enthralled by exhilarating channel drift dives, where you will be swept along by the currents as they flow around the small islands. These underwater pinnacles are brimming with an abundance of vibrant fish species and stunning coral formations, creating a mesmerising spectacle of marine life. However, it’s worth noting that the currents can be strong in this area, presenting an exciting challenge for divers seeking an exhilarating experience.

Day 6 Komodo National Park

Gives the opportunity of a possible 2 dives and land exploration.

As our diving journey nears its conclusion, we embark on the final day filled with adventure. The day begins with two exhilarating morning dives, which will be followed by a satisfying lunch. However, the highlight of the day awaits as we eagerly embark on a long-awaited land exploration to witness the raw and regal Komodo Dragons on Rinca Island. This extraordinary experience allows us to observe these legendary creatures in their natural habitat, offering a glimpse into their fascinating world.

After the land tour, we leisurely commence our return journey to Labuan Bajo. During this time, our diligent crew takes care of washing and tending to your equipment, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy the voyage. Before reaching the port, we make a special stop to witness the nightly migration of hundreds of Fruit bats, an awe-inspiring spectacle that leaves a lasting impression. Finally, we arrive in Labuan Bajo in the evening, concluding our unforgettable expedition through the mesmerising Komodo National Park.

During the evening please make preparations for the scheduled 11:00 check-out in the morning. At this time, you will receive a briefing regarding your check-out bills so that you can arrange for payment. We accept cash in USD, IDR, credit card, or WISE payments (please inform us in advance if you plan to use a credit card or WISE, noting that a facility fee applies).
